The Sponsored Cohort Concept
The sponsored cohort concept allows a sponsoring organization to lock in the curriculum for the entire MBA degree. In doing so an organization can control the subject matter for which it will support its employees’ graduate level education. This will mean a better return on investment from the organization’s educational reimbursement dollars.
To become a sponsor of a cohort an organization must guarantee ten (10) students to complete the degree program. The university will help recruit the organization’s students, and will work to recruit an additional five (5) students for the cohort from outside the organization.
This style of program allows an organization to invest in the continuing education of its employees while insuring that the program will provide education that will promote the agency’s development. It also allows the sponsoring agency to maintain control of how their dollars are being spent. No longer will there be courses that are not relevant to the organization or its employees’ work product. To the contrary, IMPAC University gears all its assignments towards furthering the goals and solving the problems of the sponsoring organization.
