Admission Requirements
IMPAC University has set a minimum set of requirements for personal computers used to access class and other university information. This required minimum standard was created to ensure that you receive the best possible learning experience in our program. Please remember that the minimum is just that - a minimum. We also state recommended configurations to assist you when purchasing new equipment.
The MIS program has it's own requirements. Please see the MIS Minimum PC Requirements page for specifics.
Minimum Hardware Configuration:
- Windows '98, Me, or Windows 2000 Professional
- Pentium 150 processor or higher
- 32 Megabytes RAM
- 750 MB Hard Drive
- CD-ROM Drive
- VGA Monitor
- Mouse or other pointing device
- 33.6-baud modem with Internet Access
- If you use AOL, you must use version 5.0 or higher.
Recommended Hardware Configuration:
- Windows '98, Me, or Windows 2000 Professional
- Pentium II 300 processor or higher
- 64 Megabytes RAM or higher
- 2 GB Hard Drive
- CD-ROM Drive
- Super-VGA Monitor (800x600 pixels) w/ 8MB video memory
- Mouse or other pointing device
- 56K-baud modem, or other high speed Internet access
- i.e., Cable Modem, DSL, etc.
- Internet access via an Internet Service Provider (ISP)
Minimum Software Configuration:
- Microsoft Office 97 Standard
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- MS Office 2000 Standard preferred. Available in an Academic Edition for substantially less than normal retail price. We recommend www.Provantage.com.
- Internet Explorer 5.0 (or AOL 5.0)
Recommended Software Configuration:
- Microsoft Office 2000 Professional
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher
- Available in an Academic Edition for substantially less than normal retail price. We recommend www.Provantage.com.
- Internet Explorer 5.5 (or latest update)
