REGULAR ADMISSION is granted to an applicant who completes the application process, meets all admission standards, and is accepted by the Admission Committee.
PROVISIONAL ADMISSION may be granted to one whose application is incomplete because some secondary support documentation has not been received or because deficiencies or possible weaknesses in meeting certain admission criteria have been identified. If an application is incomplete, a student must complete the documentation by the end of the first quarter of enrollment. Failure to do so will result in administrative withdrawal from the university. If provisional admission is the result of a deficiency, the deficiency is reported to the student as well as the actions required in order to eliminate the deficiency within one year from the date of admission to the University.
STUDENTS-AT-LARGE are applicants who wish to take one or more courses from the University but have not applied for a specific degree program. These students, if they hold academic credentials that may qualify them for admission to the related degree program, may be admitted to course(s) under non-degree status, with approval of the Program Director. Prior to enrollment in a course, the student must satisfy any prerequisites required for the course. Credit is granted, grades are recorded, and these students are required to satisfy all academic requirements for any course taken. Students-at-Large pay the standard tuition rate and are permitted to register for a maximum of 15 such credits (typically 5 courses) which can be applied to the same degree program upon acceptance to that degree program. Applicants for Student-at-Large status must complete and application, provide transcripts for highest degree attained and any prerequisite course work and provide a resume.
